What it actually is
Kidzapalooza is Lollapalooza's family zone at Columbus & Balbo in Grant Park, free for kids 8 and under with a ticketed adult. Same shape as ACL's Austin Kiddie Limits: activity stations rather than a booked lineup, including a Collaboraction interactive theater tent with three shows a day, craft stations (bead keychains, canvas totes), hip-hop workshops covering rapping/scratching/beatboxing, drum circles, airbrush tattoos, festival hairstyling, a rock star photo booth, Museum of Illusions activities, a relaxation lounge, and a Family Services tent. In past years it's also been where a handful of Lolla's main-stage artists quietly played surprise acoustic sets for the kids -- not something we can promise will happen, so it's not listed as a lineup, but worth knowing if you're there.
