It runs in its own securely designated area at Zilker Park, separate from the main festival grounds.

- Hours: 11 AM to 7 PM daily, both weekends (Oct 2-4 and Oct 9-11) -- it closes well before the main festival does, so plan your day's back half around leaving the kids' zone before then.
- There's a dedicated Family Friendly Entrance, just right of the Barton Springs East entrance, which also closes at 7 PM -- use it rather than the general gates if you're arriving or leaving with kids.
- Strollers are allowed but subject to search. Stroller wagons are not allowed -- if you're used to bringing one, plan on a standard stroller instead.
